2009 Dinner

The Federation of Cocoa Commerce held its 2009 Cocoa Dinner on Friday, 22nd May 2009 at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

The Dinner was attended by 830 guests from the internatinal cocoa community and the programme included the following speeches:

• Address by Mr Paul Davis - Chairman of the Federation of Cocoa Commerce
• Guest Speaker - HE Mr Guillaume Kigbafori SORO- Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire

The Cocoa Dinner has been linked with a fund raising initiative for an SOS Children's Villages project in Côte d’Ivoire. The project aim is to build a new village in Yamoussoukro which will consist of 12 family houses, administration offices, a medical centre, a preschool for 150 children and a primary school for 350 students.
Whilst the overall project cost is very large, our target is to raise £150,000.

Any donations to this worthy project from any member or friend of the Federation would be greatly appreciated.

Members can take pride in the fact that the FCC and the SOS Children's Villages made very effective use of members donations to the 2006 appeal for the project for construction of an orphanage extension in Asiakwa, Ghana. This project was completed in April 2008 with the inauguration of the "Cocoa House" as a permanent home to many disadvantaged and orphaned children in an importance cocoa area in Ghana.

2006 Dinner

The Federation of Cocoa Commerce held its 2006 Cocoa Dinner on Friday, 2nd June 2006 at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

The Dinner was attended by 900 guests from the international cocoa community and the programme included the following speeches:

• Guest Speaker - Mr John Agyekum Kufuor - President of the Republic of Ghana

2001 Dinner

The Cocoa Association held its 2001 Cocoa Dinner on Friday, 4th May 2001 at the Grosvenor House, London W1.

The Dinner was attended by 760 guests from the cocoa community and the programme included the following speeches:
